It surprises me till this day, that client terms or proposals are still being sent out using Word format. Formal agreements should always go out in PDF, as it has been known (no names mentioned), that unscrupulous clients have altered terms, and then signed them off without prior permission from the Recruitment Consultancy. This leaves the Recruitment Consultancies with little re-course, time-delays and a mountain of headaches, and broken relationships potentially.

Simple solution, send your terms in PDF not Word so they can't be altered or messed with easily, and double check the signed paperwork when you receive it back, to ensure the terms are what you sent originally.
