RCSA Bridging Connections 2010
I'm really looking forward to attending and speaking at the RCSA Bridging Connections conference in Tasmania this year. I will be speaking about my one of my favourite recruitment topics, and it is 'Guerilla Networking' based. Those who know me, know that I am a fierce supporter of Consultants at all levels, being able to conduct Business Development at some sort of level.
As far as I’m concerned, expansion and growth stems from the ability to develop business (nothing new there), however if this is limited to just the Directors and Managers winning accounts, then I feel a huge lost opportunity passes by, as it is the Consultants and not the Directors who are closer to business contacts at a grass root level.
Like compound interest, compound BD works the same way. If you want to break into new markets, sectors, departments, or countries, then Recruitment Consultants at all levels have to push the boundaries, not just top-management. One relationship flowers into another, the same way compound interest increases savings or debt. Battles are won using an army, not just the top officials.
