NLP Five Principles for Success
1. Know your outcome: be very clear about your outcome and what you would like to achieve before you do anything. When you are clear about your outcome, your outcome is far more achievable.
2. Take action: once you have a clear outcome you then need to take the appropriate action (eg. communicate with another person, send an email, make a call, etc) to achieve that outcome. It is important that your action is aligned with your outcome and takes you closer to achieving your outcome.
3. Have sensory acuity/awareness: any time you interact with another person, always observe what is happening and use it to improve your success. Learn to watch the smallest of movements in other people so that you can gauge how effective you are in communicating with them.
4. Have behavioural flexibility: the more flexible you are in your behaviour, the greater your ability to achieve your outcome. The more choice of behaviour you have and the more flexible you are in your communication, the easier it will be for you to influence others and to achieve your outcome.
5. Operate from a physiology and psychology of excellence: ensure that your physiology (i.e. your posture), your thoughts and emotions are aligned with your desired outcome, as these will be reflected in your behaviour and in your results.
